INGREDIENTS:
- 6 cups of cubed sourdough bread
- 1lb ground pork
- 10 eggs
- 2 cups of milk
- 3 cups of cheddar cheese
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1/2 large onion
- 2 tsp sage
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Grease a 9 X 13 pan
- Brown the ground pork and add sage and red pepper flakes while browning
- While the ground pork is browning prepare the sourdough by cubing up 6 cups worth. Dice the red bell pepper and onion and set at side.
- Place half the sourdough, red bell pepper, onion, and ground pork into the pan.
- Sprinkle 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese
- Repeat step 4 with the second half of ingredients.
- In a large bowl scramble the eggs and milk together and pour evenly over the dish.
- Salt and pepper to your likely
- Sprinkle remaining 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese on top of the egg bake.
- Cover and refrigerate over night.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees and cook covered for about an hour. Cook for 15 more minutes uncovered.
