Total Time:
8 Hours 30 Minutes

Ingredients

  • Fill your slow cooker with enough apples to barley close the lid. You can use multiple varieties or just one of your favorites for this recipe.
  • 2-3 tsp of ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Begin with washing all of your apples you plan on using. Make sure to leave the skin on, this adds great fiber.
  • After washing, dry and start to core them. Once cored, cut the apples into halves or quarters depending on the size apple you picked or bought from the store.
  • Place all of the cored and sliced apples into your slow cooker and turn your slow cooker on low for 6 hours. Remember to stir 1-2 times every hour.
  • Once it's been about 6 hours place the cooked down apples into a blender and blend until creamy. You can also use a hand blender like I used. BE CAREFUL THE APPLES ARE VERY HOT!
  • Add the creamy apple mixture back into the slow cooker and stir the cinnamon in as well.
  • This time put the slow cooker on low for 2 more hours. Remember to stir 1-2 times every hour.
  • Let cool to room temperature before transferring into jars and either place in the refrigerator for 5 weeks or store in the freezer to use on a later date.
